Titan Transilluminator

The Titan Transilluminator™ is powered by the HyperLUX™ Light Engine, sold separately.

Replacement Endo Tip Light Guides are available in a 45 pack.

Titan Transilluminator™ Transillumination Instrument

Instructions for Use:

1. When sterilized and ready to use, couple the Titan Transilluminator™ to the fiber optic light guide via the magnetic coupler.

2. Insert the other end of the fiber optic light guide into the HyperLUX™ Light Engine and turn on according the HyperLUX light engine instructions.

3. When finished, remove the disposable fiber by following the replacement instructions and sterilize the Titan Transilluminator™ as directed in this pamphlet. The fibers cannot be reused.

To replace the fibers:

1. To remove the fiber, snip the tip of the fiber where indicated below. Pull the tip out of the guide and back the used fiber out of the instrument, discarding the pieces.

2. When replacing the fiber, notice that one end of the fiber has a funnel end, or flattened surface. When inserting the fiber, insert the end without the funnel through the magnetic coupler and continue to feed the fiber into the instrument.

3. As you are feeding the fiber through the Titan Transilluminator™, twist the instrument back and forth to help the fiber through.

4. Assist the fiber into each of the guide ports as it goes through the instrument by guiding it with your index finger.

5. When the fiber is through the guide ports, pull it tightly. The funnel end will stop the fiber from pulling too far through the instrument.

6. Feed the fiber through the guide tip by bending it down and into the tip as shown to complete the replacement.

 

Sterilization Instructions:

Remove from packaging and sterilize all products according to these instructions before use.

Sterilization should be performed using chemical methods or via autoclave. Chemical sterilization is the recommended method of sterilization for added longevity of your products.

Autoclave Sterilization:

1. Products should be cleaned as soon as possible after use to prevent soils from hardening. Remove all visible debris prior to sterilizing.

2. Process product through steam autoclave following the autoclave manufacturer’s instructions. Do not exceed a temperature of 130°C/266°F.

3. Store only in FDA approved sterilization pouch.

Please note: Insufficient water to the autoclave could cause parts to melt.

The Titan Transilluminator™ is latex free.

As with all products containing magnets, please take care to avoid inadvertently deactivating such devices as pacemakers, ICD’s and other implanted medical devices.
